Privacy
The short version: this is a static education website. It has no accounts, no logins, no forms, and no advertising. It does not collect or store your personal information, and it runs no analytics or tracking. What little happens is explained plainly below.

1. What this policy covers
This policy is about this website only. It is separate from your clinical care. Any personal health information created or handled when you are seen at St. Michael's Hospital is governed by the hospital's own privacy practices under Ontario's Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA), not by this website.
2. What we do not do
We do not collect or store your personal information on this website. There are no sign-ins, no contact forms, and no accounts. We do not run analytics, we do not use tracking or advertising cookies, we do not build profiles of visitors, and we never sell or rent information. We take no advertising or sponsorship on this site.
3. The injection tracker stays on your device
The hip injection tracker saves your entries in your own browser, on your own device, using a feature called local storage. That information never leaves your device and is never sent to us or to anyone else. You can clear it at any time from within the tool or by clearing your browser's site data.
4. Standard hosting records
The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. As with any website, the host's servers automatically record standard technical information when a page is requested, such as the requesting IP address and browser type. This is ordinary server logging used to deliver the site and keep it secure, and it is handled under GitHub's privacy practices. We do not receive a report of who visits.
5. Where outside content is loaded
The site's typefaces are served by Google Fonts, which means Google receives your device's IP address when a page loads its fonts. Their use is covered by Google's privacy policy. The contact page includes an embedded map from OpenStreetMap so you can find the clinic; loading it shares your IP address with OpenStreetMap. No other outside content is loaded into our pages, and links to other websites do not share anything until you choose to click them.
6. Cookies
This website sets no cookies of its own, and there are no tracking or advertising cookies anywhere on the site. That is why you will not see a cookie consent banner.
7. Your rights
Because we hold no personal information about you through this website, there is nothing on our side for you to access, correct, or delete. If you have a question about your privacy in relation to this site, contact the office administrator, Andrea Harrison, at andrea.harrison@unityhealth.to. For personal health information related to your care, contact St. Michael's Hospital directly.
8. Changes to this policy
If we change how the site works, we will update this page, and the date at the top will change to reflect the current version.
